Virtue Health Services Christmas Mission

Mission Christmas

Virtue Health Services have teamed up with Constructa Services to support Mission Christmas – or Cash for Kids.

An astonishing 1 in 3 children throughout the UK live in poverty, and without the likes of charities such as Cash for Kids, might not receive a present to open on Christmas Day.

It’s for the children

Working hard to support their local communities, both Virtue and Constructa purchased a number of new gifts for children of all ages, and asked colleagues to donate any extra presents they could afford to buy, ahead of the drop-off later this week.

All gifts donated will be dropped off at the Hallam FM drop-off point later this week, before shipping off to Santa and his reindeer to deliver in time for Christmas Day!

It’s a team effort

Karen Stanley, Head of Development and Commissioning at Virtue, said: “I couldn’t believe as many as 1 in 3 children live in poverty throughout South Yorkshire.

We’re very much involved with our local community, so we jumped at the chance to do what we could. We have collected so many presents, I just hope it helps to make some difference to the lives of the kids in the community.”

Presents are often a luxury most parents can’t afford – the ‘most wonderful time of the year’ can often be more of a struggle for some families, compared to other months.

Last year, over £15million was raised in gifts and donations, reaching over 400,000 children in the nation. This year, we’re hoping to help raise the bar and increase the total.
